Hunger Action Month 2022

For many, a daily meal is just a choice of what to eat for dinner. But for people facing hunger, a daily meal poses a very different type of choice. It’s often an impossible choice between food and other critical needs such as electricity, childcare, or medicine.

Thursday, September 1 marks the start of Hunger Action Month, when Food Bank for the Heartland is partnering with Feeding America to inspire people to take action and raise awareness for millions of Americans facing the impossible choice of hunger. Scroll down to view a list of this month’s events and activities.

For this special month, the Michael & Michelle Berlin Foundation, Neil & Elissa Hamill and a Friend of the Food Bank are providing a matching gift of up to a total of $60,000!
