Margie Bell joined the Food Bank team in February of 2021, bringing a wealth of HR and mission-minded experience to the team. Margie has played a key role in helping the Food Bank navigate the challenges of the pandemic while keeping the safety, well-being, and development of our staff a top priority. Margie was born and raised in Omaha and has seen how the community and its needs have evolved over the years. When asked what Margie likes most about her job, she shared, "I love the vision and values of the organization—to eliminate hunger in our community and to serve with respect and integrity. These really resonate with my personal values." One of Margie's favorite dishes is jerk wings with plantains. She loves spending time with her family, learning new skills, and browsing TikTok.

Jason has been with the Food Bank for more than ten years. He has served our mission in a number of roles and is now the Director of Food Procurement and Processing. Jason works tirelessly to ensure the Food Bank can provide food to our neighbors in need throughout the 93 counties we serve. His favorite part of working at the Food Bank is our mission and the people who work here. "Those two things made me fall in love with Food Bank for the Heartland a long time ago. My feelings have only become more intense over the years. I am truly proud to work for this organization." Jason loves Duke basketball and enjoys cooking. His favorite dish is grilled chicken breast, air-fryer cauliflower, baked potato and garlic bread.
