Join the Foodies on Thursday, November 6, 2025 for A Generous Pour. The evening features a wine tasting, appetizers, and unique auction items, all while supporting Food Bank for the Heartland.

Becoming a Foodies member benefits you and the community
A Foodies membership offers volunteer opportunities, a connection with other community volunteers, and involvement in Food Bank special events. Currently, there are more than 200 members.

- Attending and supporting events like Celebrity Chef, Cocktails & Cans, A Generous Pour and more
- Participating in funds and food drives like Grocery Games and the PB&J Challenge
- Supporting the BackPack and Mobile Pantry Programs

Hunger is with us 365 days a year. By becoming a Foodies GEM (Give Every Month), you can provide critical nutrition to children, families, seniors, and veterans in need across the Heartland each month. Plus, Foodies GEMs are automatically part of the Food Bank’s Meal Makers group, which provides you with year-end gift statements, reduced solicitation mailings, annual impact reports, priority invitations for special events and volunteer opportunities, and the ability to manage your account online.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Challenge 2025
Support the Food Bank from September 12-26, 2025 by contributing plastic jars of peanut butter and jelly during the Foodies PB&J Challenge.
2025/2026 Foodies’ Second Meeting
The second Foodies meeting of the 2025/2026 membership cycle will take place on Wednesday, October 8.
7th Annual Foodies Grocery Games
The annual fundraiser runs from May 9–18. This year’s goal is $10,000, which will be generously matched by Foodies founder Jayne Timmerman, along with her husband, Daniel Jaksich.
