Omaha Parks & Recreation is on a mission to help Heartland families and individuals experiencing food insecurity. The department recently held a food drive to collect non-perishable food donations at Omaha city pools. The drive brought in 638 pounds of food—providing more than 530 meals to communities across the Heartland. The Food Bank is grateful to Omaha Parks & Rec for recognizing the need and doing their part in the fight against hunger.
