Nebraska Beef Council opens online holiday store to help neighbors in need

The Nebraska Beef Council has launched a holiday apparel store with proceeds going to Food Bank for the Heartland and Food Bank of Lincoln to help increase the distribution of beef products to those in need across Nebraska.

The online store is open now through November 26 and offers a selection of “Good Life, Great Steaks” or “Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner” branded t-shirts, tank tops, crewneck sweatshirts, and hoodies.

In a time of great need for Heartland neighbors—proteins are highly desirable. Food banks typically receive nonperishable, shelf-stable foods, leaving out a crucial part of a balanced diet – protein. Unfortunately, because of the high cost, and availability, proteins and other foods aren’t donated as frequently, which is why community support is critical.
