Hike for hunger helps families in need

Help Heartland neighbors in need on Friday, Oct. 27 with the Hike for Hunger food drive. Support the National Guard as they embark on a 12-mile hike to carry food donations to help those experiencing food insecurity.

Drop off your non-perishable items from 8 a.m. until noon at Saint Matthew Evangelical Church, 1725 S. 60th Street in Omaha.

The most needed items include canned vegetables, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned and dry beans cereal, juice, pasta, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, rice, and baby food/formula. Please no glass containers.

Thank you for joining the Food Bank to combat hunger in our communities.
