Corn donation helps feed thousands across the Heartland

Corn donation

Father Wayne Pavela—a farmer in Columbus and retired priest—made his annual corn donation to the Food Bank, weighing in at more than 13,000 pounds.  The corn will be distributed to several mobile and brick and mortar pantries across the Food Bank’s service area.

Father Wayne has been donating fresh corn to the Food Bank for more than thirty years and has donated nearly 90,000 lbs. of corn over the last five years!
