Hunger knows no boundaries, and it impacts more than 44 million people across the U.S.
This is why Walmart and Sam’s Club are coming together again to help Feeding America® partner food banks for the 11th annual Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign to alleviate hunger in communities nationwide.
The Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign will run in stores/clubs and online from April 1– 29, 2024. There are three easy ways for customers and members to participate to support their local food bank:
- Product Purchase: Each participating item purchased in-store and online at Walmart will unlock a donation equivalent to one meal secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local member food banks. 1 item = 1 meal ($0.10) up to each supplier’s maximum donation. 100% of funds raised through in-store purchases will benefit local member food banks. Donations will be localized based on where each item is sold. At Sam’s Club, the offer is 1 item = 5 meals ($0.50).
- Register Giving: Customers will have the option to give at check-out. They can either round up their purchase or give any amount they choose. Customers can also round up their purchase online and on through the store’s app.
- Online Donation Page: Donate at Feeding America’s Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign site at either www.FeedingAmerica.org/Walmart or www.FeedingAmerica.org/SamsClub.
The Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign benefits all 200 Feeding America partner food banks and has grown in scope since its inception, evolving to include all U.S.-based Walmart and Sam’s Club stores and a growing list of suppliers that includes several national, household food and consumer brands.
To date, the campaign has helped to secure nearly 1.7 billion meals for local food banks across the country. Fighting hunger means more than providing food to our neighbors in need. It’s about showing up in communities to support our neighbors in a way that makes a difference.
