Food Bank for the Heartland Friends invite you to Taste the Season: A Prairie Palette featuring Nebraska culinary writer Summer Miller, author of New Prairie Kitchen: Stories and Seasonal Recipes from Chefs, Farmers and Artisans of the Great Plains.

Patron guests will enjoy authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and rustic Italian cuisine prepared by Dante Ristorante Pizzeria’s owner-chef Nick Strawhecker.

Summer Miller will share her culinary journey and introduce guests to the extraordinary talent emerging from America’s Heartland. The Marketplace will feature locally sourced food items and other artisan products for sale.

The funds raised from Taste the Season will benefit Food Bank for the Heartland’s programs that feed thousands of children and families across Nebraska and western Iowa. With every dollar raised, the Food Bank can provide three meals.
